SCIENTIFIC GOALS

There are two main situations in which di-haploid assignment is definitive for genetics epigenetics, and for genomics.

  1. Genetic Diagnostics: Sub-chromosome regions, ranging from kilobases to megabases.
  2. Whole genome sequence analysis.

Haplomics has developed procedures to dispense with computational requirements for chromosome phase assembly in both these situations.

For Genetic Diagnostics Haplomics isolate single chromosomes, and then capture megabase regions using microarray oligonucleotide probes or multiplex primer amplification.

For Whole Genome Sequencing, Haplomics isolate each of the 46 chromosomes from the 23-paired metaphase cell.
